1.9 million students are out of school in South Sudan for prevention measures of COVID-19 spread and now fear is looming for teenage female students. A frustrated 15-year-old Abui, asks, “Why should COVID-19 come at a time when we girls are beginning to realize our right to study and pursue our dreams?”
This is becoming an issue as students are completely missing out on school during the lockdown and young females future are cloudy as they are stuck with house chores and risk being married off sooner than they wanted. Nyanyok tries to read books are home and hope for school to open soon.
